Twister, starring Academy Award winning actress Helen Hunt, is a story about meteorologists who want to learn as much as they can about tornadoes, even if that means going inside of them. To do this they must launch “Dorothy”, a data collecting instrument, into the twister. A tough vehicle is needed to carry “Dorothy” to the tornado, and this Jeep Pickup was perfect, that is until it was destroyed by the tornado during the movie. Three trucks were used to film these scenes and we are fortunate enough to have the only remaining one at Hollywood Star Cars Museum.
