Burt Reynolds has starred in many box office hits and one of his most memorable characters is Bandit, a king of the road, trucker, and show off. The Trans Am, Bandit 1, was used as a decoy for the 18 wheeler, Bandit 2, that was hauling the bootleg beer. The strategy was to get the police to chase Bandit 1 in his powerful and agile Trans Am instead of Snowman driving the truck.
